7 RULES OF BUILDING MUSCLE

Stick to them and within three months you can look forward to visible progress. In six months it will already be clear that you've made unmistakable progress in size. 1. LESS IS MORE Overdoing the effort can be counterproductive, even though you quite possibly don't want to believe it. Start from the fact that: muscles grow during rest; it isn't about the highest possible number of exercises but about correct execution and sufficient intensity; in whole-body training two exercises per area are enough; only the back (or legs) needs three, Stick to the basics, concentrate 100% on the session and try to feel the area you're working as much as possible. 2. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY For muscles to grow you need to achieve what is called the mind-muscle connection. It makes sense to understand the processes taking place in the muscle you're working, to know when the muscle is being stretched and when it contracts. When you have a sense of what is happening in your body and how you should perceive it, you're well on the way to achieving a great symbiosis between body and mind. Be patient, it takes time. But even a seemingly small detail, where in the contraction phase you tense the muscle hard and hold it that way for a few seconds, will help you achieve considerably better results. Behind success in training lies not only honest muscular work but also perfect cooperation between muscle and mind. 3. BE CONSISTENT There is no single best training programme that would work for everyone. But we can promise you with certainty that the best session for you will first and foremost be the one you don't skip. Just admit how often, looking at a guy in great shape, you tell yourself he has great genetics. Quite possibly you're not far from the truth, but believe us, behind that shape lies above all regular work and hard graft. If you're consistent in your training, you can easily achieve much better results than a genetically well-endowed athlete who skips a third of his sessions and spe…
